MONSTER ENERGY KAWASAKI’S YOKLEY FINISHES FIFTH IN MORGANTON

Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV rider William Yokley came from behind to finish fifth at the third round of the GNCC series in Morganton, N.C.

Yokley mounted his Kawasaki KFX®450R and set out to conquer the rough course in the heated conditions. He ran into some unfortunate luck when his machine slid into another rider, dropping him in 17th after the first lap. During his push to the front, Yokley recorded the fastest lap time of the day and eventually came across the finish line in fifth-place.

“I pushed hard on the remaining three laps and it got me in the top five,” said Yokley. “I felt strong to the end and the heat really didn’t bother me or the bike.”

Yokley’s consistent finishes during the first three rounds have earned him fifth-place in the standings. Trailing by only 12 points, he remains in contention in the chase for the XC1 Pro Class GNCC Championship.

“I’m feeling more and more comfortable on my KFX®450R, and I’m going to try my best to get on the podium at the next round,” said Yokley.

The Monster Energy Kawasaki ATV team will be in Union, S.C., on April 14, for round four of the GNCC East Coast Series.
