kick starter conversion - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

so what do you guys think about a kick starter conversion is it a good idea or bad does it affect the weight that much?

I have the kick starter, it's a great back up plan.. It does not add a whole lot of weigh and works fairly well.

cant you just do away with the electric starter all together? and how do you release the compression when kick starting

Not sure if you can remove the electric start, I know some people talked about trying it but never heard anything concrete... It starts within a few kicks (sometimes the very first), the biggest issues it the heel guard, you have to kick with the ball of your foot otherwise it hits the heel guard and not enough pressure to kick over.
