Default Brand New & Overheating?

I just bought a brand new '09 KFX 450R. It has exactly 10.4 hours on it and it gets EXTREMLY HOT when riding. I have taken care to not let it get to the point of overheating. I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem, or any suggestions to fix it. I am looking into putting a less restrictive pipe on it as I think this may be the problem. Other things I may try are radiator shoud fins, possibly a new radiator and also possibly new radiator hoses. Any thing else you guys can think of?

Mine gets hot when I ride too, I just assumed these ran hotter and was planning on switching over to engine ice somewhat soon.

i have a 2008 kfx and i have noticed that since day 1 it has been extremely hot. the header glows bright red from the cylinder to the heat shield all of the time. i guess its normal, but at least it seems to be common.

i have a full motoworks exhaust and it gets red hot right at the header in about three minutes after start. i was thinking putting on exhaust wrap because it is melting everything but i do not want to overheat the engine secondary to the wrap.

they run hot normally from best i can tell. Engine ice will help some but not much. just not made to put put around on. if you are going slow in low gears for any length of time the fan will kick on and you will feel alot of heat.

someone told me it has something to do with the exhaust pipe being made of titanium, the reason they get so hot.
