Default Another new member!!

Hello,

I run a professional race team, and one of my newly sponsored riders is riding an 08 KFX450R. Our race stables consist primarily of YFZ's, YFZR's and TRX450R's, so the KFX is totally new to us.

He is brand new, but has a lot of riding potential. His quad is stock, other than some spacers, smaller mx tires, nerfs, and a killswitch. He doesn't need more quite yet for the class he will be racing mx in.

I frequent YFZ Central quite often, and know that forum has done wonders for quad specific information. I am hoping this forum does the same.

I used the search feature for some common KFX problems, but found no results. Is there anything really outstanding as far as problems that we need to mechanically concern ourselves with?

I rode the quad and found the power to be acceptable. There were a few things I found less than desirable, but then again, the rest of our quads are full race quads, and this one was stock.

I found the power delivery comes on in the low to midrange, which will be perfect for a rider of his ability. When it comes time for more power, we can do a few mods. IMO I think this quad would run even better if the intake was opened up some. Especially at our elevation of about 5280' above sea level.

Any suggestions or tips for this quad would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Team Trigger Racing

Thank you, anyone else? Any problems with vibration causing bolt and screws to back out?
