As a couple of folks on here knows, my recently traded for '08 YFX450 Special Edition has trashed rod bearings that the previous own "didn't know about" and "well, it was running when we traded..." won't return phone calls, text, emails, etc.
So here's my question: What do I do with the bike? Should I dump the money into it and fix it ( money I don't really have, I might add )? Sell it as a roller with bad lowerend? Or should I part it out and use the funds to buy something new that isn't the subject of some moron's abuse and inability to take care of their quad? I do like the bike, but not in love with it. It does have the title, so I could trade it in at the dealership, but I know they wouldn't give me the cost of the tires in trade. The reason I traded for this bike in the first place is because the quad I traded it for didn't have a title and planned on using this as trade stock for a new KFX. Knew that guy was a little too eager and rushed to trade. Any help would be great appreciated guys. |

If you can do the work yourself I'd fix it?or maybe get a couple of prices from local shops!parting it out is good but what do you have in it that's extra?and you'd make a lot more with a running motor to part out!
