Need help in choosing - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

first time poster, I am getting ready to sell my 05 gsxr1000 and get a quad. I really leaning towards the kfx but i wanted to know on average how many hours can you get out of the motor before you have to do any major work to them. I am going to do most trail riding and not going to be ragging the motor out. Just dont want to get something i have to worry about every time I fire the bike that something is going to go wrong with it. If anyone can give me some insight on it I would appreciate it.

100+ hours if you you do proper maintenance. Change oil after a couple rides. Clean air filter after every ride. Check valves periodically. If you do that you should have minimal problems.
