Default Hey guys!

Hey, my names Dave. Just joined this forum. Im looking at buying a 2009 kfx450r. Do you guys reccomend it? I've heard that you do more wrenching then riding. Please let me know what you think.

There is certain issues with the kfx but ive had mine since 08 and barely ever wrench on it except for putting new goodies on.
The subframe inserts are known for spinning inside the frame. Dont overtighten them and you will be fine.
Wiring harness is routed bad from the factory. Just di electric grease all connections and watch for bare spots on the harness when cleaning and such.
Change oil and filter often and keep a clean air filter every ride.
Hope this helps in your decision. Good luck!

Thanks! Is it a pretty easy quad to ride? I had a brute force and never had a sport quad before. A little nervous about the clutch.

Super easy to ride. Clutch is smooth and easy. In my opinion the kawi is comfy to ride. Stock seat sucks cuz its so hard but some extra foam and seat cover fixes that.
