I was talking with walsh about this problem and Cody Gibson has been going through falicon crank rods in about 10 hours too. Finally Walsh came out with there own crank rod that has held up 20+ hours so far with no breaking. And if anyone has seen Cody ride they know he isnt easy on motors! I just got my crank back from Walsh and retail on it is $450 installed on your crank.

How long should I get on a 12.8:1 piston I didn't up it in the 13 range because I didn't want some reliability issues .

Of course in not racing it always balls to the wall. I usually trail ride with the occasional track ride and race.

well 12.5 is stock compression so you basically will get the same amount of time out of it as a stock piston.

I thought stock on the atv was 12.1:1 and the dirt bike is 12.5:1

08-09 atv is 12.1, 08 db is 12.1 and 09 db is 12.5 (they decked the head to achieve 12.5, piston still the same).
