Hello everyone,

Im looking to buy a kfx450 but wasnt sure if there was any changes from the 2008 and 2009 kfx 450?
can anyone help me with this?

Not many. The new monster edition is pretty bad-ass though. Black powdercoated frame, green coils in the shocks. The graphics on it are kind of meh though.

frame is different. I would chose the 09 if the $ is a big difference

Actually if you got a late model 08, like I did, you will get the same updated frame as the 09's. Just look at the main spars and the frame rails just ahead of the engine mounts. The pdated frames do not have the frame plugs and they have additional bracing welds at the bottom of the frame.

No, and No. The differences are mainly in the colors and the updated frames, but like someone already said a late model 08 still has the updated and much stronger frames.

09 has 12.5 compression 08 has 12.1 . thats the only difference i know of as far as peformance goes . are there any more ? the monster is bad looking .

Compession still the same 12.1...the 09 dirt bike is 12.5.

Cool ! I'd read that they shaved the head down to bump it up and was jealious of the 09. What's up with it weighing 394 now ? Wasn't the 08 364 .

They weigh the same for both years. The 2009 spec sheet shows the curb weight of 394 and the 2008 sheet shows the dry weight of 364.
