DTOLL,

I install the TRX battery and it does help the bike start alot quicker. The only problem is the battery is a little shorter, but I just put a block of rubber in the bottom of the battery tray to make up for the differance. On the plus side the battery is 1/2lb lighter.

Hey, thanks for the info. I've been outside spending hours and hours trying to troubleshoot this problem and i've figured it out. My issue anyway is the DynoJet Power Commander. I can keep everything installed and unplug the commander and she'll start up like a champ. Installed the commander back and couldn't get it to start. Does anybody have any suggestions. I've contacted DynoJet to see what they've got to say about this. I'm 100% positive that i've got everything installed exactly as instructed per DynoJet's instructions. I've check all my sensors, plugs, valves, TPS voltage, and battery, and it all checks out okay. It's this PowerCommander. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Dave

This thing is making me insane crazy....it's a royal pain to start..i've gone through all the checks and still it's problematic...if I try to start after running for a while it pretty much refuses to cooperate..I let it cycle through each time, give it rests in between and no luck..only 4 hours on it but this is insane..gonna bring back to dealer on Monday to get it looked at..

Mine isn't that bad after the stock pipe and intake were replaced.

please give a list of all mods, and map you are using. or have used, this is for the guys with hard starting quads.

pipe? full system?
air intake? air box? air lid? air lid off?
pc3? map?

the stupid stuff first, dump the gas tank, spark plug in good condition, batt is at full charge. batt voltage? and batt voltage when cranking?

also the higher the idle speed is, (just makes your problem become worse) the harder it will be to start!

post your mods and maps please, lets look at it.

Has anyone adjusted the "choke" knob to cure this? Mine is set at 39 clicks out from seated and starts good. All stock, lid off, spark arrestor out. Started ok with lid on and insert installed also.

Read somewhere that somebody said to set it at 27 clicks out. Mine would not start at that setting so I put it back. Don't know TPS voltage at closed throttle as starting has not been a big issue with mine.

Now i've got about 8 hours on the bike, it's starting much easier than before, each time it fails to start I turn the key off and wait a few seconds befort trying again and that seems to work fine, i'm hoping it soon starts on the first try each time
