Head pipe too much heat - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

Have a 2008 450, the bike is bone stock, seems as too much heat comes off the head pipe. Just messing around the yard, you definetly can not wear shorts to ride this thing. Any other issues, what would cause this? Thinkin of using some headder wrap on the head pipe what do you think?

My buddy uses header wrap on his YFZ and work pretty good, Still gets warm, but no where near as bad as it used to.

getting an aftermarket pipe will help, a lot of people have complained about this and it seems to help.
