I have a 08 kfx450 and love it. Just wondering if I do routine maintence and valve adjustments how long will this motor last? I"m just a trail rider, no racing.

it should last for a while 10+years if taken care of properly!oil changes every 100 miles maintain and clean air filter other than that it should run for a long time it seems to me when you start modifing the engine then you could run into more maintanance like big bore kits but simple things like a programmer intake exhaust shouldnt efect the life at all!

the only reason they use what they use on the intakes and exhaust is because of price and emissions. What could hurt getting more air and better exhaust flow. Just make sure to get a programmer so your fuel curves will be taken care of.

yes, I have a programmer and everything. Dont plan on doing anything more then a bolt ons.
