Red hot exhaust - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

i was at dumont dunes this past weekend racing up comp hill... i was 3rd gear pinned and looked down and my exhaust was glowing red hot... has anyone else experienced this???? any help is appriciated thanks

The entire exhaust or just the header pipe? It's normal for the head pipe to get red and glow especially on an aftermarket, my dasa get's real hot.

its just the head pipe about half way back into the heat shield... i pulled the spark plug to see if it was running lean but it is runnin on the rich side... any ideas?

Mine does the same thing heading up sand mountain....

Its normal for it to glow most 4 strokes do. Nothing to worry about.
