well guys ice season is coming up and debating if i should race again or not. i need to freshen up the motor but not sure whats best to go with. last season i ran a 13.8:1 je piston (stock bore) stage two hot cams, ported and polished head, sparks system, pcIII, K&N high velocity intake and got a bored throttle body but didn't use it. the bike now has over two yeays of hard riding on the bottom end and needs to be gone thru. i'm looking for the best product for the price. i'd like to put new crank for sure. thought about stage three cams instead of stage two. not sure what to do, i like keeping the stock bore but would like more power but still reliable that i can ride in the summer here in there. i'm looking for the best horse power for the money and the reliaility. any opinions would be great....thank you

J&E pistons offers a 4mm over piston that would make it a 488. I think it would be reliable, I have this setup for my mine, but it is not installed yet, Im waiting to gather up some more parts 1st. Crank works can also lighten your crank and set you up with a corrella rod, for more reliability. You say you are thinking about switching to different cams, you could try web cams dirt bike cams, they have more lift than most of the quad cams they offer. Big valves are another route you could go, I have heard 2hp gain in just the o. s. valves, web cam offers big valves, but they are in their dirtbike section, I am pretty sure they will work, I am confident enough I have ordered me a set along with their dirtbike cams Lastly There are some companies such as yoshi that can polish your tranny gears for you, Ive been told a 1hp gain can be made from this, and it will make it more reliable as well. Hope this helps you out
