I bought my kfx used and looks like it has the classic Dasa pipe and has the quiet core in it. Im going to a dyno soon should i take the quiet core out? and put a screen thing in. Ive heard the quiet core might take away power..

I dyno'd mine without the quiet core or a screen, just un-corked

Ic you have a ltz400. I actually just bought this kfx450 and if everything turns out okay with it then im selling my dvx400. Good quads (they have the same motors) and i never had a problem, mines making 47hp and 31.4tq and its really reliable will hate to see it go, i know its suspension wont touch my kfx450's suspension

Thats some nice numbers on your 400. My 450 was 44+ hp, n I dont recall the torque. I have the quiet core for my Dasa, but only use it when I go somewhere that requires a spark arrester.

your hp numbers should be kinda close with the quiet core in or out!what you may see is with it in a gain in your torque and then a slight drop in hp but not much 1-2hp at most!

I would expect to see something in the 49 to 50 HP range, just a guess.
