Default Air lid off or on?

Hey guys, I have a 2008 kfx450r with a HMF COMP series exhaust, CV4 hoses, and recentley just removed my airbox lid. My question is, will taking off the airbox lid do anything for power? It defintley made the bike louder thats for sure and seems to pull a little harder, will the EFI ajust for this setup? any suggestions would be great, thanks!

It should help a little and yes the efi should adjust for it but the kfx intake in stock fourm is very restricted I bought the FCI Intake which elimates all the stock garbage and really increases your power around 4-6 horse power it was worth the 300.00

get a procom or powercommander not a hmf controller. you can do alot more with the procom and powercommanders

true you can do more with powercommanders but they are also more expensive. Most of the aftermarket programmers are made by Dobek and then just have different company stickers on the front. I run the hmf optimizer and have had zero problems with it.

my first mods were a slip on exhaust, optimizer and filter.........normally the big three is enough but with the KFX I did not really notice that much power gain until I installed the FCI. then it was a whole new bike, like posted before well worth the $300.......or $260 if you buy from us

Ya for sure it is unreal the amount of power you get from the FCI.
