Hi guys, I'm Dave from www.jdperformanceatv.com . I am looking for any and all feedback you may have about your KFX's suspension. We are currently proto typing control arms, and the more info I can get on your likes and dislikes will better help us design the best possible product for you.
You can PM me with any input you may have, or you can call me personally @ 951-676-7957. Thanks Guys Dave |

Junk. Sure it can hold well after taking the time to dial in but it's still junk compared to aftermarket. I've spent quite some time dialing mine in and they feel decent, but compare them to any goo dmanufacturer, even w/stock arms/swingarm, and they're still junk.
For the woods rider they wouldn't be too bad though. I probably jump a little bit into things b/c all I do is ride tracks for the most part. In the woods from what I've ridden the suspension isn't too bad but the rear shock needs work to keep from rebounding and kicking back in stock form. The fronts once broke in aren't bad there. They just can't take it on the track. But against other stock quads they're pretty equal.

Not really but I only ride tracks. They seem to be able to break loose real quick but regain momentum just as fast when you wanna take off.

Turn left to soften, turn right to harden I believe. The shocks have letters on them on the adjusters so you'll know. I softened up about 10 clicks on the rear rebound but don't recall compression. On the front I went about 5 clicks softer rebound and like 5-6 clicks on compression. Works very well on the tracks for a rider around 150lbs before gear.
My C'Dale has Fox shocks on it though so I'd like to see an lt KFX w/Fox on them. Hopefully I will for next years setup.

If you ask me, all of the major manufacturers are doing a pretty good job at building a quad to work for the masses. As for the 8k price you are not happy with, consider a quality pair of aftermarket shocks to run about $1,300 for a pair of fronts alone. Thats a little over 1/8th the cost of the bike. The bike has front and rear shocks,a,linkage, bearings, motor, frame, sub frame, fuel injection system, computer, swingarm, wirering harness,4 wheels and tires, brakes, radiator, plastics, axle, fueltank, seat, cables ,stem, exaust, and tons more. So if you look at the big picture, in this day and age, you are getting alot for your money. Just my 2 cents |
