I have not yet taken my shocks off of my quad yet, but I was wondering how you seperate the spring from the shock body. is it easy or a pain in the a@#. I am wanting to have the springs powdercoated.

Pretty easy. First; make sure you somehow mark where you current preload is. Then thread both preload collars all the up to the last thread on the shock body. The spring should now move freely up and down between the top collars and the bottom spring perch, which should also be free to move on the shock piston shaft. If you look closely at the bottom perch it has a grove in it from the middle out to the outer edge. Use this grove to allow the perch to slip off around the shaft of the shock. Assemble in the opposite order.
Thank you!!!!
