Has anyone compared the two? The DASA uses an aluminum airbox with a bottom (which I like) and basically uses the same intake tube. Both are overpriced for what they are. Just wanting to see opinions.

The FUELATV intake and the Dasa intakes are very similar as I worked with Dasa on both of my intakes. The FUELATV intake air filter has more surface area and is one inch longer then the Dasa air filter. I will be releasing a box version next week. The air box version will be $339.99. Anyone that has my air box eliminator intake can add just the aluminum air box for $119.99. The airbox will be all aluminum. It will have a front , bottom, sides and a back. There will be no lid, but i will be working with outerwears to develop a outerwear water repellent top for it. The FUELATV airbox will not have an open back like the Dasa box and my airbox will come powdercoated black. I understand the price seems high, but when you see the quality of the components included with my kit you can see no corners were cut. We have a MASSIVE amount of dyno time into making this kit work and it does. My kit includes ......
Billet intake ring Large Inverted air filter Water repellent outer wear Intake tube Billet connector Misc. hoses, clamps and connectors Powder coated aluminum bracket I see other kits like the trinity kit selling for $129.00 - $159.99 and those kits are not making any HP PLUS they do not come with 1/2 the parts mine includes. So again while the cost is higher at $239.99 for the air box eliminator version or $339.99 for the air box version this is a case of you get what you pay for not only in quality, but in the HP department too.

How hard would it be to just make a new intake tube for the stock airbox?

The filter i want to use will not fit in the stock air box, the oversized billet velocity stack that has proven to make HP will not work with the stock air box and the stock air box is too far forward. So that route was out of the question. Fo me its all about making parts easy to install for the customer, keeping a factory look and most IMPORTANT making HP. My parts are not always the cheapest, but i work on VERY small margins and deliver the goods. I would have to sell a couple hunder intakes to recover the time i have spent developing this kit.

making a new tube to keep the stock air box would be pretty difficult because the shock is so close to the air box which makes the stock one so sh!tty. Just cough up the money for the fuel intake kit and be totaly happy with it. Where else can you buy 3-4 horse for not much over 200.00. Just look at the stock setup and see why. Take it from me if Fuel says its the sh!t, its the sh!t.

Fuels intake may be alittle expensive but its well worth the money. you get good quality parts, good power increase, and its really easy to install. its some of the best money that I've spent in the power department so far, besides the 13" Dasa pipe that i got from him also.
