new to the scene. why do we need to retune the fuel injection if we get aftermarkt parts? intake, exaust, etc..
i thought the whole purpose of fuel injection was so we do not have to do any tuning. and what is this mapping i keep reading about?
if needed to, how do we found out which map we need?
hopefully someone can explain all this easily to me.

Well... There is a lot of posts on here about it but anyway. The fuel injection on the atv is not like a car it does not have a O2 sensor to adjust itself. The only thing the fuel injection on the quad does is adjust for air temp and elevation, not to mention aids in quick starting. Mapping is like re-jetting a carb after putting mods on like an exhaust. The only way to really find the right map for you bike is to take a trip to a dyno and have someone tune speciffically to your bike. But dependng on your mods there are maps out there that you can get for free that have aleady been made for certian mods.
Hope this helps ya.

yea, it's very much like a regular carb in that if you add aftermarket high flow exhaust, etc.. you have to reject (in this case remap)
