Ok i am looking to put a PC3 on my kfx450r, i rode yesterday and a boy had put an intake on his bike. where it does away with the air box lid. suppose tp get more air flow! will i have to have a programmer to run an intake like this! if so what would be the best intake that would go good with a ps3 and a slip on hmf exhaust! Just wanting to get the best for my bike! any help would be appreciated. if anyone knows where i can get these in a pretty good deal let me know! i just want the best for my kfx, to make the most power! also i am running a 13 tooth front sprocket, with an intake and programmer will i be able to, put the 14 tooth back on, and have better takle off.!

yes if you replace your stock intake tube you'll need a pc3 cause it'll run too lean if you don't. fuelatv and fci both make good systems. or you can find a ltr tube somewhere and just use your stock box (from what i've heard). with a new intake and pc3 you will get more power, so you'd probably be able to put your 14t back on

If you are looking at getting a new intake, make sure that you are getting one with a modified intake boot. The intake boot on the KFX is what is resricting to the intake. Check out the airbox or the airbox eliminator that we have at www.fuelatv.com.

The other mod that you could look into getting is an aftermarket exhaust. This will also get you a good hp gain. (Check out the Dasa! It is the #1 performing exhaust out on the market.)

You will have a dramatic increase in power if you go with all three mods and be able to run the stock 14T on a regular basis..I've upped mine to a 15T for normal desert riding and 14T in the sand

You will need the whole airbox with our intake or the eliminator bracket. There is a lot more to our intake than just switching out the filter or the intake boot. It comes with an 8 layer guaze style filter with an inverted end cap for more airflow, a billet filter adaptor the airbox or the eliminator bracket, a new intake tube, an outerwear and all other accesories that you will need for the install.
