Gas Leaking - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

I had to charge my battery the other day and i seen something on the cover, which was gas, has anyone had any gas leaking problems with an 08 kfx450r. the first thing i am going to check is the bolts that hold the fuel pump on any help will be greatly appreciated!

be a good idea to check ur quick connections on ur fuel lines . thatd be my first guess as to where a leak could be comeing from .

Your bike would'nt happen to be one of the one's that needed to be recalled would it? Leaking fuel pump/tank connection. I just bought my 450 on Monday ('08 leftover) and it had been sitting on the dealer floor since early '08 and did not have the recall done yet...Had to install new tank

well i looked at it! and it looks like its eaking around the fuel pump! thats where i can see a drop of gas hanging!

Sounds like it's one of the bikes that needed recall work on the fuel pump/tank....
