New to EFI

Bought my KFX450R and it runs super hott and lean, has since the day i bought it stock. Now I have a k&n filter and full jardine exhaust system on it. When i get on it at night, i the exhaust glows red and the fan always runs. Just doesn't seem right. Anyone have any ideas on getting this to run cooler and maybe more rich?

check for any small air leaks? mine had a full exhaust and a k&n filter and it never seemed to run hot...only thing i could think of is to get a fuel controller..

you need a fuel programmer like the pciii. or your engine wont last much longer.

im sorry i ment rich not lean, the spark plug was back as can be but the pipe still glows when im on it.. Any suggestions on the programmer i should get?

i'm using the Procom Fully Programable ECU. it's awesome in my opinion. it comes with 10 maps already on it.. a stock map, and then 9 other maps for different skill level and different modifications. i have a full exhaust, fuel atv intake, and it works great with one f the preset maps..and the ecu also eliminates your roll over sensor,increaes the rev limit,eliminates the governor when you r backing up, and allows you to start the maching with the throttle pressed in as much as you'ld like.. it's an awesome addition and works great. my father in law and i both have them on our kawis..
