Has anyone installed a set of these? I'm sure you MX guys have. Where exactly did you mount them? How? I'm planning on tackling this when i get my quad back and i just don't see the room to install these. Thanks for the help.

Dave

Here is what I went with (work great). Note you need the 12mm "Optional aluminum bar inserts mounting kit" (not the kit that is included with).

http://www.acerbis.com/p106_handguard/2048960.html

UNIKO ATV HANDGUARDS
The Uniko ATV Handguard is the most functional and customer-friendly ATV
handguard on the market. Mounted using an expanding knurled bar-end insert, the Uniko ATV offers full protection, mounts quickly, does not interfere with cable routing or lever placement, and will not spin under load. For the serious ATV rider this is a must-have aftermarket product.

• Expanders with special knurling for a perfect mount with only one fixed point
• Mounting kit includes 2 expanders for steel handlebars with an inside diameter of 16 and 18mm.
• Optional aluminum bar inserts available
• Handguard material: Polypropylene
• Mount Kit included

DTOLL,

They look great (even better then UNIKO I have). The only thing I did not like was the mounting hardware and if you took a hamer to them (like I did to test them out) I was able to break the mount clean off with one shot (and that just dosnt cut it when racing).

But they still look great and will work for alot of riders.

Yeah Im sponsored by them and i bought the green guards with the wrap around kit to. I mounted them right before each grip. It took me a good 2 hours to get everything slightly moved over and exactly how i wanted it but its possible to do. I had trouble finding room to but if you move everything toward the center of the bars youll have room.

i put a set of these on also. Didn't have too many dramas fitting them. Just shifted few things slightly as you said and with the clutch side I placed the bar between the two cables to allow for an even look on both sides. Not sure where you guys ran your handguards

My 2 cents. I am running a set of the Star series Powermadd handguards and love them. I did have to move a couple of levers/switches around to make everything fit when I installed them. During my first ride after I installed them I tweaked the levers etc.. back to where I thought it was comfy and have been happy every sense. I feel it is a good quality product and worth my money. But like everything else it is a matter of personal taste. Some like and some don't.
