how many plan to mx this quad? - Kawasaki KFX450 Forum

How many of you think you will end up decking it out to be a full mx quad? just curious

i think i am going to use it for xc. yfzs are still the top mx quad in my opinion

ill use it for some mx but mostly xc

no doubt about that, they dont handle as well as the suzukis but those five valve heads rip once they get an exhaust on them

I think kawi built the KFX450 more for XC than MX. From what i've read on this website it is not as wide as the LTR but might be wider than the YFZ or TRX. If they wanted an MX race quad like the LTR is they would of made it wider and have more torque in the motor, and some better tires. I'm not saying that is mainly built for XC but from the facts i have it looks like it is.

i know im gonna be using mine for mx and i hope to keep it original and pretty nice lookin witout having 7785656656587657546453546 of the same color combo'd quads

I will be building one over time to race mainly the 08 season it looks like. Plan on racing it mostly stock at first while racing all out on my Cannondale still. Yes, people still race them. Put some Evols and porting and wow. KFX will play second rate to my Dale as the quad to race in other classes unless I can hook some better sponsors to make it the main ride.

I have about 7hrs of ride time on one and atleast 5 on MX tracks at the Kawi Press Ride and the machine definately has potential. I just don't have the cash to pick one up plus build it immediately when I already have two other race quads.

well i would have to say it takes alot more strength and endurance to race 2 hours that it does for 15 minuts.
