Default sprocket selection

Hey guys,

New to the forum, just joined tonight.

Question about sprocket selection. I bought a fully decked out '09 450 this year and I run quad B class in IL. The quad was built when I bought it and claimed to be built to team Kaw spec with stage 3 Yosh motor.

I suck at hole shots and not sure if I just suck or maybe I'm running a bad sprocket number. I'm running a 15 in front and 39 in rear. I'm 6'3" and 215lbs.

I have been whooped by stock 450's and even if I suck I should have way more motor.

I usually start in 2nd but have tried 1st with not much luck.

Any thoughts?

i race mx too, and i currently have 15/38. i wouldn't be surprised if you got smoked by quads with lesser motors either. if your motor is putting out alot of hp, you're probably spinning more than hooking up. that's probably why you get beat by stockers..depends on how long the holeshots are too...
