Last weekend i took my all stock kfx to the woods trails for the first time, unfortunately it wasnt what i expected it would be. it is fast, and the gears were perfect for the trails, but the handling did not impress me too much. i think all it needs is a dampner and front shocks rebuilt for my weight to loosen them up and it will be good to go for the racing.

I know that April 1st there were 4 of them lined at for the stock class and a couple in another classes at the first IATVHSS race of the year. One the guys on a KFX won the stock class and others finished strong. I was also very muddy and miserble that day also. They looked pretty strong though

I will have a good idea after this weekend. Hopefully it is not a mudfest.

Well that race was awesome!!! I pulled the holeshot easily and even after getting stuck badly twice--stock tires have to go--i still finished 5th in my first race with only about 3 hours ride time on this quad. I LOVE this quad!!

I have raced mine at 3 GNCC races. The 1st race was on a stock bike, beat me to death. 2nd race had elka's on it, WOW what a difference. 3rd race was even better after the shocks were dialed in. THe only problem I've had was on dead engine starts. It just won't start for some reason. I now have a yosh pipe power comander & uni air filter. It run's a whole lot better. Can't wait for Kentucky.

Mine starts great every time. It has to be real warm though. Also someting I found that helps is to put it in gear youre gonna start in, hold the brakes and let out the clutch to kill it. For some reason it seems to start a touch faster this way.

On another note, watching the video of the start my wife took, the stock yfz next to me took off maybe a half a secons after me and I just walked out on him on the holeshot. And he is a very experienced racer.

This machine is AWESOME! I rode it for the second time on my friends farm. We went trail riding and the terrain was pretty rough but it handled great. My other friend has a YFZ and turning around sucked for him. haha The reverse definitely comes in very handy on the trails. Iam waiting to race the KFX next month in the Atlantic grand prix. It should be interseting.
