Well I just got back from Buttercup a few hours ago and it was great.

First I would like to thank FuelATV (Steve), Performance Design Racing (Diesel), and QuadTech (Bill) for getting my accessories to me in time for this first trip of the year.

I have to say that my quad is now a beast. I am running a FuelATV Intake, FuelATV Dasa 13", and the PCIII USB fuel mgmt controller, rolling on STU 6 paddle Comp Cut Padla Brats on Douglas .125 rims on the rear and STU Razorbacks on Douglas .125 rims for the front, and of course the QuadTech seat for multiple day riding comfort!

and a few pics in camp:

In our group we had over 30 quads:

Racing at Comp Hill, I had everybody by at least 1 quad length. This included several Raptor 700's, and a few Raptor 660's. One of the 660's was the fastest with the common bolt on parts, a +4 swing arm, and 9 paddle extreme haulers.

Another trip to Comp Hill found another KFX450 (He said he is also on Kawieriders) and he had about the same setup as me w/6 paddle haulers, an ESR exhaust, a custom intake (Trinity perhaps), and a Doubach (sp?) controller. He would have me by about a half a quad length or so just because he was a better racer then me. Start in 2nd, shift to 3rd and into 4th as fast possible and let the motor pull you up the hill. I raced him several times and we stayed dead even all the way up the hill.

I just love this quad with this setup now. I can pull a wheelie at any time 1st through 4th and into 5th if I give a good tug at the bars. I even got to the point of pulling a wheelie in 1st and shifting through 4th while in the wheelie.

Good times!

Great to hear the bike ran good. The photos cam out nice too. I love the bike without the black outer fenders and think i will run mine that way too. As it goes in racing rider and setup will usually win over HP. What air pressure did you run in the brats? How did you like them?

Hey Steve, I was running around 6-7lbs in the brats. I still had tons of hookup off the line. The right tire loses a couple pounds an hour, so I just checked after every ride. I'm going to pickup some BERRYMAN's sealant and see if that helps.

I love the Brats. I can pull a wheelie at will. I even started riding wheelies at the base of the large bowl and shifted through 4th on the bowl. The Brats made it that easy. It will take more practice racing them, but that will come in time. I LOVE THE BIKE RIGHT NOW!!! Suspension upgrades will be gravy on this bike!
