air box lid

I have a full system pro circuit exhaust and want to remove my air box lid and eventually get a different filter but there is no map for a pipe and no lid so i'm wondering is it ok to run the pipe and no lid with the pro circuit map??

I'm having a hard time finding maps for my mods also. There needs to be like a Fuel Map section for the forum.

Good idea......

snapper08 send dyno-jet a e-mail or call them, let them know thay have to stay on top of that $hit.
If you find out let me know because i'm running a Yoshimura Titanium full system, an EHS Racing Lid, and a K&N Filter, and i'm needing a Map so that way i can actually ride the thing.
will do i will see if i can find anything out and keep you updated if i do.
I sent DynoJet an email asking for updates on when they'll get out new maps and they gave me a generic answer as expected, but they did say that if i could find a map close enough to my mods that they would help me work on it to get it closer.
If i was just changing filters i wouldn't worry about the Pro Circuit map being to far off, but taking off the lid or replacing it with an EHS Racing lid is a big difference for this quad. Thats a lot more breathing room for her.

I forgot to mention i've got a request out to Fuel Moto to create a map for me and my mods. I should get it tomorrow hopefully.

I am running the procircuit full sysytem with no air box/ K&N filter, KX450 cams, PCIII
using the procircut map but have added 6% to bottom, mid, & top, of fuel map with the buttons.
bike runs great.
The buttons divide the RPM range into thirds and will cover all throttle positions within the specified RPM range.
Read your PCIII user`s guide, or you can download the user guide from www.powercommander.com
any way when your in low or bottom of range, Each light bar change is a 2% fuel change over the existing map, you can repeat this for mid range and high buttons, for now (no maps) this will get you from being so lean!
I do not have access to a dino, I to am waiting on maps, a wish fuel would post the map they were using on the last dino run, kfx450 dasa pipe, fuel proto type ATV intake, that map should be about right, or maybe alittle to rich?

Thanks for the tips, Fuel just sent over a map for my mods listed in my sig. I'm gonna upload it here in a little bit, and hopefully it'll run great. I'm kinda wondering about the Accel Pump feature. Are you using it? Also, what settings are you using right now for it?
useing this for now, still playing with it. try it, a little more bang out of the corners, (MX track)

ACCELERATOR PUMP PCIII

75% sensitivity
15% xtra fuel
20 engine revolutions
Right now i've got mine set at 85% sensitivity, but i think i may drop it down to 75 to see how that works.
DTOLL who did you have build you a custom map and what is there website?
It was Fuel Moto. If you buy a power commander from them, then you get free maps. All you have to do is tell them your mods and and then they send one to you. I've rode mine around the block a few time here, and all i can say is wow. It pulls like a raped ape.

Why??
i dont know why but i cant open that map you sent me. it says like file error or something. so i dont know whats up i emailed van wall motorsport in iowa which is close to me to see if they could help me out. I dont know if that map you sent me needs to be in a different format or what but it wouldnt let me open it.
I'll try it again. You should have mail from me again...

IMO you need to get your bike on a Dyno and have a custom map made for you… Here is how it works… you run you bike hooked up to the Dyno'ss computer then the Dyno determines the corrections needed for your bike and produces the perfect map and thus gaining the most HP. The cool thing is you get to see this before your eyes. I have seen many people who thought they had the perfect map only to gain more HP. Don’t be fooled by a lean condition that will product more HP but have an obvious bad consequence. This should all cost you under $125. I’ve personally Dynoed three different bikes over 20 times and IMO it is the only way to tune your bike if you want to see the checkered flag
.

Good Luck Guys

I couldn't agree with you more, but some of us don't have access to a dyno so we have to settle for a box tune.

DTOLL,

Respectfully there are hundreds of these set up throughout the United States Dyno Centers just enter your zip code.
And all of them are 170+ miles away. LOL
