Has anyone tried eliminating the stock, restrictive airbox on their new KFX. I am fixing to start on the motor in mine, and we have been discussing it. The shop I use (ATP) has had good results doing this on YFZ's, LTR's, and 450R's. The Yamaha kit appears to adaptable for a perfect fit. The quad will be for TT, and only be ridden twice a month, so trail dust, etc. will not be an issue. Also, will the Power Commander be able to compensate for this much additional airflow? Any insight would be appreciated.

Sorry I missed this topic.

Fuel Customs is working on their intake which will be able to run with or without the airbox. Without the airbox systems do run great on the other quads. The FCI on the YFZ and TRX are outstanding intakes. Look for this system in the mid summer.

The Power Commander will be able to compensate for the airflow.

The LTR FCI will be out shortly!!!! Look for this intake to set the standard for these EFI quads.
