The restrictive tube might be worth what? 1 whp, while a better airbox or even better no airbox combine with a better filter being worth 2-3 whp.
Well it is actually the opposite by the testing i have done ...... the stock box is pretty big. The REAL problem is the VERY restrictive intake tube. While the box above looks good, i dont think you are going to gain any HP by adding the above air box. I will have an air box version of my intake. I have the box designed and it is in production now.

I guess we can agree to dis-agree ....... the air box above is nice, but does not do much to increase flow. A larger filter will only go so far. The stock intake tube restricts the flow BIG TIME. So imo no matter how big of a filter you add the intake tube cuts down to 1/3 the size. So while i do like the air box above i know there is more to extracting HP then a new air box and a bigger filter on the KFX450. Key points for my intake .....

1. Billet velocity stack ....
2. Inverted end cap air filter ...... lots of testing to find the right filter
3. new intake tube ....... HUGE difference

This what they got to say:
"I understand your situation. I am not going tell you that his won't make a difference. That's not our style. We like to focus on the positive that we have to offer. We found the stock intake tube to work great with a stock motor, and full exhaust system. Our air box, with the lid on, works as good as your stock box with the lid off. Take the lid off our air box and you will notice a BIG difference in power. We replaced the intake tube during testing and found no advantage. We specialize in high performance air boxes. We have been in business since 1993 and have built custom air boxes for the owners of Vito's Performance, Trenga Racing, and Trinity, just to name a few.

When I find myself in the situation that you are in, I usually buy both items and try them for myself. After you decide which one is right for you, you can sell the other one on ebay and reclaim most of your money. You will also gain valuable knowledge about who is telling the truth about their products. Please let me know if you have any more questions. If you are in a position to buy both and try them, I will give you a great price for your feedback. Positive or negative. We want to hear it all.

Thank you,
Jason"

Don't get wrong Fuel, I'm pretty sure I'll buy from you in the near future and you are doing a great job researching the best for our bikes, I'm just trying to find the best bang for the buck here.

Also I'm waiting to se if he will offer a map for it, that would help me make a decision.

They must not have a dyno or did dyno testing. The stock tube sucks BIG time. So i would wonder what did they test to find the stock intake tube to be good?

The truth will be in the 3 - 5 HP you will gain with my intake on the dyno. Not to mention the 3rd party dyno sheets i will be posting to show that my kit makes HP.

I will offer my parts at a competitve price and the feed back will come with the PROVEN HP you will get. The box they make is nice ..... NO QUESTION. Do yourself a favor pull of the stock intake tube off and look at it. You will see it is a joke. A new intake tube is needed and if anyones says different they have not tested with a correct intake tube on the bike.

I understand and i am not knocking their stuff. Again it is a nice box, but it will not make the power mine will make NO QUESTION. It is not possible with the stock crappy intake tube. Our bike has gone from 40 HP to almost 50 HP untuned with a Dasa pipe, FUELATV intake and a power commander ........ 10 HP DYno PROVEN increase.
