Well, came back home today w/two friends to find an interesting sight. My KFX's new frame was supposed to come in today which it did so I had the quad in my truck last night so I could take it in today. (Where it's at now.)

Came home around noon eastern time and 2 guys (Mexicans who work at my apt. complex) were in my truck trying to steal my KFX! The tailgate was locked and the truck was backed into a carport so I don't know what they planned on doing. They cut 2 chains/locks and cut two tow straps as well and had one side of the quad up on the side of the truckbed.

I was on my streetbike along w/two friends on theirs and one noticed immediately. We all flew up, parked our bikes as fast as we could, (mine fell over but didn't care) and took out after them. We all still had our helmets, gloves, etc on from riding and they didn't stand much of a chance, nor were they very big men to start with. I'd have probably killed them had the other two been there w/me and basically just took them down and layed them out. Both are now sitting in a Phoenix jail cell or soon to be for theft and property damage.

The quad is at the dealer now and no damage was done. They just cut all my locks in the truck which probably should've been replaced anyway. It is not possilble to get the quad out of the truck from where it was at but they sure tried. Shows their intelligence. They tried to fit it through a 2.5ft gap when we caught them. So the KFX drama continues but I still have it. I will be getting insurance asap on this thing, even though it will be sitting in storage when not in use. Your quad isn't safe anywhere!

Insurance rules. I had a $1500 wreck last summer on my pred. Only cost me 250 dollars for the deducable.

The whole thing was sad. One of my buddies was the first one to them and he used to be a football player and just pummeled one of them basically. Neither of them had to have been over 5'9. They wouldn't have stolen it either way w/out taking off half the parts on it b/c of the gap they tried to go through. Did find out that they cut a couple of zip ties used to hold the wires in place, mostly ones I added for security, but wiring was untouched. Got lucky I guess.

As for the quad now: Sitting at dealer and when I went by to pick up some more stuff before close they already had it mostly torn down and the frame will go together tomorrow. Kawi didn't send the gas tank though so will have to wait on that.

I am going to run by here in a couple hours and see if I can. Got delayed b/c of some stripped bolts and such so it should be sitting there atleast through the end of the week. I plan on getting some better shots though so will either today or tomorrow hopefully as the frame won't be going back probably till Monday anyway.

Man I really hate theves. I haven't had anyone try to steal my quads, except one, but the [email protected]$$'s didn't know I had it at the shop, they opened the shed doors and didn't see it in the shed, so they took off. And they tried to steal it when we were downstairs watching a movie, and of course, we heard them. they drove up on another four-wheelr that was loud kind of, and he saw a vehicle driving by slowly and saw them shut the head lights off, so we knew people were trying to steal something. But I tell ya, if i ever come home and see someone trying to steal my quad, they better hope i don't get my hands on them, because i will seriously hurt them badly.

Glad to hear you got there before damage was done. I f'n hate thieves A LOT! Some LLPOC (Low Life Piece Of Crap) broke into my truck 2 weeks ago and cut my stereo out of the dash.

I just wish I could of caught them in progress like you did with your quad... but I might of killed 'em

You know, I really think that all theives who try or do steal someones quad, they should be shot for that, cause that just shows how low life they are and whoever tries to steal my quad, they better hope I don't catch them trying to steal mine, or they will be in for one mean ass beating.

Well I have sold this quad now anyway so it's gone. Got lucky I didn't have to go through a whole theft ordeal though. Picked up a CBR954 and cash in a trade and very happy.
