Has anyone else had the fan wires short and burn up by the fuse, under the hood
And does anybody else fan run all the time or the quad feels like its puting off alot of heat? I have owned alot of atv's and none of them gets as hot as the KFX

Thanks for any help

I have switched my fan fuse to a 25 amp fuse and it helped alot. The header pipe being titanium is thinner walled and doesn't dissapate as much heat. Mine runs alot cooler after I installed my HMF slip-on pipe letting the engine breath. I have heard of some people wiring the fans direct to run all the time with no fuse but I think it is a bad idea cause sooner or later wires will act like a fuse and burn. THIS ENGINE NEEDS TO BREATH !!!!

dont forget, performance mods without efi adjust will make the bike run lean
I agree 100%... mapping is a tricky thing... to simply download a map and install it based off of some charter is a little silly... (it's what DyonJet would love for everyone to believe is simple). I would strongly recommend putting your bike on a dyno to verify that you have all your parameters right most importantly, your airfield mixture. Most shop's charge under $100 for this service (so well worth the information).

A poor man's way of checking if your bike is leaning is to do a plug check. Another more reliable method is to take the temperature of your exhaust on a marked section of the header under a given RPM. Then do your modifications and take the temperature again at the same RPM's / spot. If you are changing the exhaust then just take the temperature on one of the exhaust bolts or on something that will not been changed. Ideally the temperature will stay the same even after the modification.
