Do i need hot cams if i install new high comp pistons? And how much power will i gain with just pistons, and just cams, and finally how much power with both together?
Wait also need prices?

No matter what I would replace the stock cams if you get HC piston..i don't believe the stockers are big enough and secondly they wear down real fast (one short season and my lobes were on their way out). There's a few different brands out there so look around, i went with kx cams and they work great..with fuel atv intake, dasa, pciii & cams i picked up 11 hp over stock
Ok. I have also heard that they wear out your engine faster, not sure if this is true but thought i would ask.
And what kind of intake is best? i have a K & N and their filter. Lots of people have been putting Fuelatv intakes in, should i switch over?

I just Did my motor a few days ago. If you do the piston and cams you will need to remap your powercomander. It is well worth it! All I did was a 13.5 to 1 piston and stage 1 hot cams. I also built a custom intake. The bike already had a sparks pipe. Well the thing sounds like machine gun now and outpulls my friends 08 honda with a piston and a HRC kit! Before in a drag race he would beat me 3 out of 4 times. Now its not even a challange. The JE piston is just under $200 and you can find hotcams on ebay for around $160-$180 each. Stock gaskets run about $30 for head and base.
