Exhaust gettin a little hot?

I was riding my buddies kfx around in shorts.. and one thing i noticed.. Holy crap that thing is hot around the exhaust.. I had to extend my leg out while riding to cool it down because it was getting so hot.. Any one else have this problem?

Yeah, I learned to never wear shorts when riding it again.

Yea, i maybe buying an atv soon, but i don't know if it will be the KFX.. I like to wear shorts when i casually ride.. :/ Oh well, I may just let my leg burn off for that reverse
