several people have went with the 15t, 36t combo and have liked it. also where did you find a 35t sprocket at?
rocky mountain has a pro taper 35t.
I hav the 33t/15t combo which I found to be just a bit to "tall" on the lose pack trail's on the road I could just & I say just hit the rev limiter my 33 is just about toast. I'm going to order the 35t & see how that is for top end, But w/ the new FuelAtv intake coming it should be a bit better...

topdollr do you hav a 15t front or ya still hav it stock thx???
Anyother places where to get these rear sprockets? I've got both pro taper sprockets, the 35t and the 36t and they both won't fit.

Someone mentioned the honda 250r rear sprockets fit our machines. Is it true? With or without modification?
I am pretty sure the pattern is the same, but the bolts on the 250R are bigger. So it will not bolt right on.

FUELATV
I got my 36t renthal rear sprocket from Dennis Kirk. It was alittle on the expensive side but they had one in-stock and i got it in a few days.
Any 400ex or 450r rear sprocket will work. They use the same thickness bolt but the 400ex or 450r rear uses tapered bolts. I bought a set of dirt bike bolts on ebay for 9.95. he honda rear sprocket I could only find in 36 as the lowest. And that was 20 dollars. SO its the cheap way. Now I would reuse the old bolts if you cant afford new ones.

I beg to differ. PIPO and I have had the same drama with the rear sprocket. The packaging says that the sprocket will fit ours and an ltr 450 but unless you drill the holes out to line up and take a gamble that it is right, it will not fit. Pro taper has issued and applolgie to rocky mountain saying that they have sent through the wrong information in regards to the ltr 450 and kfx 450 taking the same sprocket
I dont know who you are differing with But like I said a 400ex or 450r honda sprocket fits on a KFX450r. You wanna know why I know? Cause thats what I have on mine.

WHen I said 450r, Its the honda, not ltr450 or yfz450 or any other 450.

I just did the same.
Has anyone only changed just the front to a 15? curious how to know how only the front would impact the top and bottom power.
I did, and it felt better but still a hair low.
Ill have pics here in tomarrow for the sprocket. It was 20 bucks plus about 10 for bolts. Same size for the hub on the inner side of the sprocket. I got the 36 tooth. I originally had a 34 from sprocket specialties but 80 bucks is alot for aluminim that lasted a few weeks.

We put the 15 tooth on and its close to the motor if the chain ever popped off or a link came off. Either way your prolly screwed. My brother runs the 15 and its fine.

No matter what the kfx has a tall first gear after that is short all the way. Good for drags but not so great in the trail compared to the yfz as far as first gear goes. The smaller the sprocket the more clutching youll be doing in the tight and rutted up trails. I like the 3 tooth rear I Guess
