I have heard a couple of ways to break in a new bike. Drive it like you would always drive it. Or half throttle for first tank of gas. After ten hours: Change the oil and check valve clearances, tighten chain, clean air filter. I was wondering how you guys did your break in period?

I broke mine in like I stole it, lol. I dont recommend it unless you wanna go really fast. J/K, theres so any opinions about it that prolly why noones posting. I would just go by manufaturers recomendations.

he only reason I break mine in hard is casue it just makes sence but not everyone will agree.

stay off the rev limiter and give it some good heat cycles. Hot enough for the fan to come on and then let it sit for a couple hours. I change the oil filter and added a little oil at about 5hrs and then will do a complete oil change with a stainless oil filter at 10 hrs.
