So I read that the motor in the KFX 450 is the same as the one in the KX 450 dirtbike. I'm wondering how the KX's motor compares to the YZF 450. Does it make as much power as the yammi or does yamaha have the edge with their 5 valve motor? From what I'm hearing in ride tests on the KFX450 it isn't impressing anybody with its power, however the handling is amazing. I'm concerned about the power potential cause I would hate to mod a KFX 450 and still get smoked by all the YFZ's. I do realize everybody is still running in stock form but is the potential there to compete with the yamahas?

Potential power it will be fine. Most people who talk about the power output stock are used to modded 450's
