Where can you pick up the kick start? any pics of the install?Just had mine installed and picked up my quad.. It actually works fine, you really have to have the heel of your boot on the kicker because otherwise you can't get leverage..The rear of the boot just scrapes the heel guard but regardles it starts on the 3rd or 4th kick..Great back up in case the battery craps out!
I don't race and my motive for getting the kicker was as a back up to the battery...I kept the starter on it as well....the only thing that makes it difficult to kick is that you have to place the heel of your foot on the starter otherwise your foot will scrape the plastic on the way downA buddy of mine just had his kicker taken off and starter put back on. He was having trouble getting it started especially when it got hot. He has alot of motor work, high compression, and cams that made it hard to kick. The Kawis have a hard starting problem anyways and adding more compression makes it even worse when you are kicking it. If you notice, team Kawi isn't running the kick start and there is probably a reason. I would bet to say they know more about these bikes than anyone.
Here you go 99994-0097Anyone know the part number from kawasaki for the kickstart kit?????
I took mine in to have it installed, was told it's easy to do but you need an impact driver for sure, took about 1.5 hours..The mechanic's knuckles were a bit sore when he finished so i presume it's a pain!I ordered my kick start kit today from Chaplin Kawasaki, how long does it take to fit????
is it a straight forward job???![]()
