I know the power and everything of the KFX vs. lt-r but what I want to know is the handling, ride quality, and how it handles compared to lt-r. Which would be better for fast trail riding, not any tight spots or deep mud, duning and motocross.

Its still going to depend a lot on what the trails are like... kfx450r = better chasis, lighter, more ground clearance, from what I hear better steering and of course reverse. The ltr is most likely better suited for faster stuff since its wider and it will most likely land a bit better. So in the end the only real benafit the ltr has over the kfx450 is the fact that its wider, so you might as well just get the kfx and wait for some good extended a arms to come out then you will have the best of both worlds.

the trails I ride there are a lot of ruts and roots and very few narrow spots. I would like to know which has better suspension. valving wise and stuff like that. I've read that the lt-r shocks aren't tuned very well from the factory.

Something like valving is going to be way to close to say one is much better then the other.... They both are stock res shocks so they are going to leave plenty of room for improvement Im sure. As for ruts and roots I would assume that the kfx is going to have the upper hand since it has more clearance. niether quad is going to be a clear winner cause they are too closely matched but the kfx has a better all around package hands down.

Also the suzuki has an 18" stock rear tire- that would be completely worthless anywhere other than an MX track, and how many mxers do you know with stock tires? Sorry I'm not the biggest suzuki fan- and I was so happy that the KFX is not a green LTR. For me the choice is simple; KAWASAKI!!

thanks for your opinions. Now what do you think of the Raptor SE vs. a KFX

Either of those would be a great trail quad, just the kfx will handle and jump better. Also why buy the SE when its really just color and a set of yfz shocks bolted to it? Poeple practicly give those away so just buy the basic one and get some used shocks off the yfz board.

IMO ..... if you want the best 450 and dont mind spending a few bucks in aftermarket parts. The KFX450 will be the chit with a set of shocks, a-arms, a pipe and power commander. If you are not going to widen it up you can add a set of aftermarket shocks to the stock a-arms and get well over 10 inches of wheel travel.

Not sure yet ...... if Dasa does the same with the KFX as they have with the TRX ad LTR it will be the pipe to have. I am collecting pipes to test now. I will have WHATEVER it takes intake wise to make HP. I think i will be able to get a big enough filter in the stock box, but until tesiting is done i am not sure. You know i am not just going to through some CHIT out there for sale that does not work .........
