im in the market for a new quad pretty soon and i was wondering if the kfx 450r has had any problems so far? seeing how its a first year quad and all.

there hasn't been any problems other than the gas tank recall they had on some of the early models. and i think thats the only problem that they have had to address so far.

battery issues, going dead quickly, got to keep it on a batterytender charger while in the garage

I haven't had any problems out of mine at all.
Especially since I've modded it to better suit
my riding style (WFO). It is still the best out of
the box quad out there for me. Reverse is the
shznit ! If for no other reason buy this "r" over
the others for the reverse. KTM is the only one
I've ridden that's close.

I have not had a problem letting my quad sit for up to a month at a time, it still starts right up. You should check out your quad, you have some small draw that is killing your battery OR your battery is FUBAR

The only battery issue I had was leaving the key on all night. That drained the battery dead ... but that was just my stupidity
