From stock to slightly modded made a significant difference especially in top speed.

A friend has made these performance mods and the difference is night and day

plug out of the can
EHS air box cover
fuel controller
33 tooth rear sprocket

got some photos this weekend on our 190 mile ride thru the Wisconsin state forests

when they were clean

20 miles of misery

and the new KFX uses allot of fuel when mods are made.. about 55 miles on a tank and then

the first time ...out of gas

then again after tanking some out of my dessert tank

a few more shots

I got mine from sprocket specialists..

I was thinking of going 32 also but was not sure... still might up a tooth in the front & see how it is....
plug out of can??? what is this?
Most likely he's talking about the spark arrestor. The thing is pure restriction and a joke. But does make it pretty quiet w/it in.
There was a very significant performance increase and puts it either on par or better than other 450s that have similar mods.. The gearing change made it much more enjoyable for riding in the 50 to 70 mph range.

"Plug out of can" is pulling the spark arrestor out of the stock exhaust system.

Even w/ my Setup it's still very quiet....

But to me, It has been like getting 2 new quads..

1st was the stock KFX. Witch we all know what that was

2nd was w/ the mods...

There is a night a day difference between the 2.....

Sure like to try out that 32t... wounder if ya would notice the change in just 1 tooth????

What state forest were you guys riding? I live in Superior and I am always looking for new riding spots. Nice quad too.
