So with the EFI & electric fuel pump on this thing, are you completely out of luck if you have a totally dead battery? No bump starting?

Seems to me that you would need at least some juice to kick in the fule pump and computer.

I've had to roll start a newer Honda Civic with a dead battery a time or two, and it worked just fine. I can't imagine these quads having any more electronics on them than a modern car. So if you can roll start a car with all of its EFI and electronic wizardry, I'd bet you could do it on a quad too.

I left my key on overnight and killed the batt. I push started it no problem. I didnt think it would but did.

yeah the efi doesn't require the battery to run. that why with a kick start kit you can rid of the battery

Last week I didn't ride mine for a few days (rode Wednesday) and then when I went to crank it Sunday the battery was almost completely dead, and the key wasn't in it at all so nothing was left on. It barely clicked first push and that was all the juice it had so I had to roll it off

I wouldn't think a brand new battery should lose power that fast, anyone else had similar problems? After riding for a few minutes everything was once again fine, started right up..

No kidding, I'm hoping that it doesn't happen any more but my guess is it probably will. Not really a problem to roll it off just kinda annoying for a two week old, 7k quad.
