Ok well I haven't really posted on here as I hardly ride my kfx , but need some help.

Ok so I have a 08kfx and the other day I decided to get it out, since I bought some new nerfs and wanted to put them on. I have been storing it outside in a canopy, for about 2 months. I live in Michigan so it is pretty cold right now.

Anyway so I go to start it and it took a few min. to get it to fire and run. So I let it warm up and rode it for about 5 min. around the yard in the snow. 2 days later and now it won't start again. So I pulled the plug and it was just all wet, so I cleaned it and put it back in, still no luck. It turns over fine. I had the heat on in the garage which is where its been for the 2 days. I don't know if the heat was on long enough to thaw a frozen line if that is the problem.

Anyone have any ideas what else could be causing the problem. I purchased it brand new when it came out and it probably has between 10-20hrs(maybe). It had the recall done on the fuel pump/leaking issue.

By the way it is stock other than a Baldwin Motorsports kill switch. It ran fine with it before.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan

Sounds like your not sparkin. Check your dead man kill and change the plug.

I bought a used but has very low hours very clean 2008 kfx450r a few weeks ago. The guy I bought it off of got it new. He said it has been sitting for for about 5 years because he got hurt on it. So I look it over no cracks in the cases has antifreeze oil window looked good. So I checked the pipe before starting it an it was cold. The guy turns the key let's it prime an boom starts right up. I let it run a few minutes no knocks ticks the quad sounds healthy. I turn it off talk a few minutes then he starts it right back up rides it around. I take it on a ride go thru the gears perfectly everything is good. I get it back home pull it off the trailer park it in the garage. The next day I try to start it an it just cranks back fired a few times. Then the battery seemed to die I go get a brand new battery 12v 108cca an it just ticks when trying to start it now unless. I have it hooked up to a jumpbox it will crank but no start. It fkn sucks bc I spent 4 grand on the damn thing got a new battery changed the oil filter air filter. And I can't ride the damn thing does anyone know what it could be? Yes the red light comes on a few sec but goes off after it primes.
