The pair here are about $12,000

My vote "other" would be the KTM.
Can't beat them out of the box, I
wouldn't trade my KFX for one now.

Your basing your next purchase on 0-60 and top speed from people you don't even know online tell you? 0-60 times and top speed when the top speed is only about 65. Oh, and your numbers add up to 13,700 not the original 14,700 you stated....

I was not concerned about the stock quad..I've had a few bikes and never kept any of them stock anyways. My past experience is I tend to dump a few $K into everything so as long as its got quality and potential. If I was on a budget and was going to race i'd buy something used so that it's got all the bells and whistles.

ya i thought that too but ive always wanted to from the dealer see a new bike being loaded in my truck, plus if i get the kfx450 the first thing being is a dasa pipe. if i get the ltr chary bomb, ive thought about the outlaw 450 but idk of any poformace aftermarket parts?? its cheaper better shocks hydro cluch and reverse with better stock engine......... the 700 kfx on the other hand is for my dad hes a big guy 6 3 235lbs and has seen vids and articals of it being hella fast stock i would after a year or so put a cwr 800 big bore and pipe in it with 450 cams

the top speed on a kfx is unfixable... its a gearing issue in the trans.....u can only go as far as a 15t front with a 21 rear tire before 1st. gear gets too high...BUT ITS A 450 made for the track

77 to 80 mph range reved out

Agree with completely...what I like about the kfx is that, with a few minor mids, how rapidly it gets "up" there. A ride a few places where theres a short wide open spot, i rip through the gears so fast that before i know it theres a huge turn or dip and have to slowwwwwwwww down..i get so caught up in listening to that engine purr and thos gears wind i forget about overlook how fast i'm getting there (and sometimes the potential obstacles in the trails!)

I bought my 08 KFX 450 last Feb for $7000 otd,and an 08 KFX 700 for the wife in Oct for $6200 otd. Probably could have got better prices buying them at the same time.
