trinity racing intake

6099 Views 11 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  dl11sec70dodge
so last saturday i stoped in at trinity racing on a whim and picked up there intake and installed it along with a powercommander,BIG difference compared to just full pipe and air box lid off...
i was a little bit dissapointed with the quality as far as install goes and the filter could have been bigger, but wanted something reliable with stock air box for now.

Looks good...Thx for taking some pic's, what did you not like about install??? & how much was the kit??? thx
We have trinity intakes available. Complete kit is 145 shipped
It looks like a small filter and honestly, the restriction is in the intake tube on these KFX bikes. If we all can be patient, the Fuel Customs Intake is going to be top notch.

for the price it better be!!
Im not all about racing but mainly wanted a k&n filter for the ease of washing and the outerwears, a little extra power

The thing i did not like was inside the filter adaptor was a rough finish (easily polishable) and the air box hole had to be opened up about 1/4 inch, nothing major but not the same quality as my 700 gytr intake which was truly a bolt in product
what is the part number of your K&N (that way I can compare the specs to my RU2950)?
ya3502 is what is on the reciept, trash man already came so i dont have the k&n box looks like they are using that same filter for the rap 700 and banshee too

Looks like Trinity is using a smaller diameter flange and a smaller filter all together.

the fuel customs intake is not going to be out for quite a while. They still are working on finishing up the rhino and the raptor 700.

This trinity kit is a great start, especially for those (like me) who hate to even mess with foam filters.
yeah i think i might get one of these kits with the foam filter just so it has better sealing the the stock setup cause have actually found a little bit of dirt on the inside of my air boot.
