Took my heel guards off, and water started draining out of the holes, not a lot, but enough to be concerned. Anybody else noticed this, and wonder if the frame is also holding water?

hmmm that is kind of worrying me too. i wash my bike like twice a week. there could be a lot of water in there

how is it getting in there though? Makes me want to drill some small drain holes at the lowest points of the subframe and frame

The main frame has drain holes underneath bottom of the cast parts by the foot pegs. But the subframe does'nt have any

Swingarm also needs small drain hole(s) too !
I had the same experience and when I swapped
the axle I figured out the swingarm was a water
reservior too.

Water can enter the frame in the very front... its just an open box... where the sliver plastic plug is inserted. Removed mine the other day and a lot of water came out.

Thanks (RJ) for reminding me of that one too !

I also drilled a small hole aft of the plug ^ , and
at the Y (in front of the battery) so when on the
brakes hard there might be some bailing effect
also. Since that mod I've only seen evidence of
drainage (on the belly plate) a couple of times.
